Welcome Visitors to Hungary!
Modification: a slice of Hungary...
Well, I would like to speak a couple of words from my hometown and its closest region.
Somewhere in Eastern Hungary, on the middle of the Great Hungarian Plain lies a sleepy, tiny town: Hajdúnánás
Where doesn't happen anythig ever...
...next to nothing.
The first member of its name indicates the hajdúk freedom fighters, who fought on Stephen Bocskay (2nd pic from bottom) side in the anti-Habsburg independence war.
This is my secondary scool, Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Gramar-school.
Kőrösi travelled to Asia in the beginning of the 19th century.
"Hoping that he would be able to trace the origin of the Magyar ethnic group, he set out for the East in 1820, and after much hardship along the way, arrived in Ladakh."
And he was the author of the first Tibetan-English dictionary and grammar book. "In 1834 he was made an honorary member of the Royal Asiatic Society."

From Tokaj to south is located Tiszadob on the blank of River Tisza too. It's a small village what was the part of the II. Rákóczi Ferenc's estate in the late 1600. He was the leader of the Rákóczi's War for Independence. Next the village is located the Andrássy Mansion with a beautiful park.

Forward to south is located the "utopian" Hortobágy. It was the first national park in Hungary. It provides habitat for various different species. For example: Saker Falcon, Great Bustard, Aquatic Warbler...etc.
The closest cities to Hajdúnánás: Debrecen and Nyíregyháza

Dear Friends from Taiwan and Japan, let me introduce the city where i was born.
It's called Sárvár, and i love it.
About Sárvár:
It's located in the western part of Hungary, near the river Rába.
We have a beautiful castle from the Middle-Ages, an arboretum,
healing thermal water, industrial park, Pannonia Ring for the professional and amateur motorbike races, rich historical culture, ...
In these days there is an International Folklore Festival, just take a look at the pictures:

hi users!
if you'd like to attach lot of photos, please don't use the [IMG] tag, 'cause the topic will be unreadable, and the loading time will be extended
in this case please use the [URL] tag to link your pictures.
"click & view" is better than simply view
sorry my english is not to good...
thank you
